I believe the three main traits to be successful in recruitment are resilience, positioning and hard work. Resilience because there’s a lot of setbacks, there’s a lot of rejection and you need to be able to overcome those things in order to progress in the industry. Positioning because the market is saturated there’s a lot of recruiters recruiting everything and I think that in order really to be successful you need to position yourself in a high value industry or a sector or industry that is fast growing and hard work because it doesn’t matter how talented you are, how good a salesman you are, or how knowledgeable you are unless you work hard you will never be successful.
